Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ: FAQ

How much is a DNA test?

Most of our test prices are not posted on our website because pricing is subject to change; to get our current pricing, the best thing to do is call us.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes!  We know things can sometimes be challenging financially.  So on most of our services, we offer a payment plan that allows our clients to pay a portion of their test fee at the appointment and the rest later.

When do I have to pay for the appointment?

Many of our competitors charge you in full and in advance just to set up an appointment.  But with us, you do not pay your full test fee until you arrive at your appointment.  In most cases, only a small scheduling fee will be required to request an appointment.

What happens if I suffer a miscarriage while awaiting test results?

We know difficult situations like this arise. Whatever happens, we will continue with the testing process to the extent that we can.  If it is no longer feasible to continue with the test, we will contact you to discuss that best resolution.

If I have trouble with my pregnancy or change my mind about the test, can I get a refund?

All sales are final and all services and fees are nonrefundable, regardless of unforeseen issues related to the client or their pregnancy.  From the moment we set your appointment, we begin incurring expenses related to your case.  Moreover, these expenses must be paid by us regardless of circumstances surrounding the client or their pregnancy.  Before you confirm your appointment, make absolutely sure you are prepared to make the financial commitment to the test.

How early can the NiPP test be performed?

We will allow clients to set NiPP appointments with us as early as 5 weeks gestational age.

How can you test my baby’s DNA before it is born?

Our partner laboratory’s core technology is based on its ability to increase the percentage of fetal DNA that is found in the mother’s blood. Through its research with free-floating fetal DNA, the lab has developed and patented a variety of noninvasive prenatal tests that simply require a routine blood draw from the mother’s arm.

What is the turnaround time on NiPP results?

The NiPP test results can be ready in as quickly as 3 working days (if ordered with rush processing).  Our standard turnaround time is up to 3 weeks.

What do I need to bring to the NiPP appointment?

The NiPP test appointment is relatively simple.  First, the pregnant mother and alleged father arrive at their appointment, each with their government-issued identification. Upon arrival, they will each complete a short consent form. Then we will draw DNA samples; we will perform a cheek swab on the father and draw a small sample of blood from the mother’s arm.  We will then send all samples to our lab and commence testing.  Results will be ready in as few as 3 business days (with rush processing).

I want a NiPP test but there are more than 2 potential fathers. What do I do?

Whether you have 2 potential fathers or more, it is always less expensive for us to test all potential fathers at the same time instead of testing additional fathers later (after you complete your first test). Call us so we can plan the logistics of the appointment(s) accordingly so all interested parties are comfortable with the testing arrangements.  We will also go over the pricing of adding potential fathers to the same case.

Does health insurance cover DNA testing?

For payment of services, we accept cash, debit cards and all major credit cards.  We also accept electronic forms of payment, including Apple Pay, Paypal and CashApp.  While we currently do not accept insurance, we are working on ways to include health insurance as one of our payment methods in the future.

How far in advance can I book an appointment?

We can typically offer our clients appointments as early as the next business day.  In some cases, we can offer same day testing.

Are your testing services accredited?

Yes. Our expert team of licensed, certified phlebotomists and specimen collectors are authorized and contracted to collect DNA specimens for the nation’s top accredited facilities.  As such, we deliver accurate, chain-of-custody test results to our clients, which can be used for legal, court or official matters.

Where are your offices located?

We have company-owned locations in several states and affiliate locations nationwide. Simply call us so we can help you with an appointment that suits your needs and location.

Instead of coming into your office for an appointment, can you come to my home?

Yes.  We offer mobile, off-site appointments at clients’ homes all the time.  As long as your location is within a reasonable distance from our service area and you are willing to pay a trip charge (if applicable) to cover our staff member’s travel expenses, we can come to you for the appointment.

Do both parties have to come in for the appointment at the same time?

We can offer separate appointments to the test parties but there may be a small additional fee for this accommodation.

Can you perform a DNA test on parties located in 2 different cities/states?

Yes. We can arrange appointments for test parties in different areas.  Please note that an additional fee may be required.
